You can expect about 70 km of range on one charge in flat areas in less windy conditions. Exact range can vary on how hilly the terrain is, how loaded the bike is and which assist level is used. While staying in eco mode, one can expect up to 100 km of range. Snowy conditions and -15 degrees weather can reduce the range to approximately 35 km. Exact range may not be reflected on the bicycle's onboard display as uphill or headwind reduce the calculated range quite drastically, which is often not recalculated and regained when returning to flat ground.
After cleaning your bike, remember to re-apply lubrication to the chain with a decent dry lube (do not apply lubrication to a belt-driven bicycle). Finally, please resist using pressure washers on your bike. Not because of the electrics, but high-pressure water can push factory grease from the internal bearings leaving them dry for the next ride. Your bike is your friend, give it some love as regularly as possible.
Your Hagen electric cargo bike is expected to handle this without any issues. Having said that, we do recommend that you avoid submerging your Hagen E-cargo bike completely. If you happen to find yourself in the lake with your bike, allow the bicycle to dry off before turning back on and returning to the trail.
This is common behavior. The bikes have an IoT module inside with its own battery. The IoT module is connected to the internet via SIM-card and consuming energy. If the bike is used regularly, the IoT charges itself from the bike’s main battery. If the bike is not used or only used for very short rides, then the IoT module will power on the bike to charge the IoT’s battery. So it’s nothing to worry about and does not occur when using the bike daily.
The electrical components of the eBike are weather-sealed and do not require further servicing once our team finishes the bike.
