Cargo bikes are here to stay. They are not only awesome but they improve que quality of life of those who have one. This is the case in favor of owning one.

The Business Cargo Box

As we’ve been providing side panels and the existing wide box, we’ve also been asked for a closable cargo box for a while now. The main goal of this box would be to allow courier and shipping companies to include the Nighthawk as one solution to the last-mile problem.

Cargo Box with a Drawer

We have already introduced you to our lockable and weatherproof cargo delivery box, which was an immediate hit in our product line. Handling with storage also means dealing with organization, so with this custom design we took a different approach on the use of space.

A year ago, we got a request that was a bit different from other custom solutions we had done so far for clients. The customer’s request was simple: besides a longer cargo bed, the front part of the frame (the location of the front head tube) would be high enough so that a suspension fork could be used with the bike.

We are still shaking from what happened, but Hagen Bikes can officially claim the first cargo bike backflip landed. When we brought our stripped down version of Hagen Mini to the skatepark to test how it handles, we were surprised by our founder flipping it at the end of the session in to the foam pit.

XXL Cargo Bike

We had recently launched a XL cargo bike, when Gernot wrote to us and asked – “can you go bigger?” It sounded absolutely mad at first – we had just launched the biggest bike we imagined was reasonable, and he wanted to go bigger. However, after a bit of thinking we got curious, could we actually go bigger?

I have loved bikes throughout my life. From being a child and having the first freedom of getting around without parents, to doing sports, to having the freedom of being outdoors and traffic free on commutes. All bikes are beautiful – but they do come in various shapes and sizes.

We all know that a special rider needs a special bike. That’s why you see so many Hagen cargos with small tweaks to make them personal. But it’s not very often we build bikes for the absolute legends in the cycling world…until now!

External vs internal gears Competition bikes have external gears, and heavier commuter bikes generally have internal gears. That highlights the differences quite clearly.
